ICD-10-CM Module: Chapter 9 - Diseases of the Circulatory System (I00-I99)

With the implementation of ICD-10, coders need a stronger understanding of anatomy and physiology (A&P). OHIMA is your source for A&P training specific to body system AND coding system.

Over 30 modules are planned for development in 2012. These modules will provide you with the specificity and a greater level of A&P understanding needed to code accurately in ICD-10-CM and ICD-10-PCS. Check back often as modules will be added as they are developed each month!

View modules planned for development

Who will Benefit?

Inpatient and outpatient coders, medical billing professionals, health insurance professionals and anyone needing anatomy and physiology training prior to the implementation of ICD-10-CM/PCS.

Prerequisites

You should have a working knowledge of the fundamentals of coding prior to taking these modules. OHIMA offers online courses to supplement your learning.

Features

These modules are the actual training courses - not assessments! Priced at less than most assessments ($17/CE), each module provides a detailed review of the corresponding body system with in-depth information on cells, tissues, and organs with targeted emphasis on coding.

All modules are developed by approved AHIMA ICD-10-CM/PCS Academy Trainers.

All modules are reviewed for quality by AHIMA ICD-10-CM/PCS Academy Trainers prior to going live.

Each module concludes with a 20-questions final self-assessment test to assess practical knowledge of the skills reviewed.

A CEU certificate accepted by AHIMA and the AAPC is provided immediately with a passing score of 70% or higher.

All CE credits earned from these modules count towards the new AHIMA ICD-10-CM/PCS reporting requirements!

You may leave and re-enter the course material as you desire until you submit the final self-assessment test and modules will remain online at least through 2014.
