Communities of Practice (CoP)
Ohio CoP

What are CoPs?
CoP is short for Communities of Practice. It is an online member interaction tool to communicate, to ask questions and to share expertise with peers.

Ohio CoP
OHIMA has a CoP for Ohio members to keep you better informed about the association and to interact with other OHIMA members and provide some useful resources.

The immediate ability to disseminate, exchange, and share information is a powerful tool in keeping pace with changes in the HIM field. As a CoP user, you can turn to one another online for support, ideas, and new information.

How Do I Participate in CoPs?
  • Visit the AHIMA's CoP Homepage,
  • Enter your AHIMA member ID# and password in the log-in box to the left.
  • Prior to participating in a CoP, you need to join it: Select the Join/Visit icon (the passport icon) on the top toolbar. Select a letter of the alphabet or “All” for a listing and description of all the CoPs. Or, use the search function to find ones that match your needs.

Note: Geographic CoPs (states) are listed under the letter G for Geographic: Ohio.

Take advantage of this wonderful member benefit by participating and exploring the Ohio CoP and some of the other 150 CoPs!
