RHIT Exam Prep ONLINE - Course Description



Course Description

The RHIT Certification Exam Prep Online Course is designed to provide review of skills needed to prepare for the Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT) credential. RHITs are health information technicians who ensure the quality of medical records by verifying their completeness, accuracy, and proper entry into computer systems. RHITs may also use computer applications to assemble and analyze patient data for the purpose of improving patient care or controlling costs. RHITs often specialize in coding diagnoses and procedures in patient records for reimbursement and research.

Program Summary

This course is designed to strengthen and reinforce competencies needed to become an RHIT and better prepare you for the RHIT Certification Exam. It will focus on RHIT role competencies covering content related to:

Legal Issues
Quality Management
Health Statistics
Coding
Information Technology & Systems

Tips and practical suggestions on how best to prepare for the RHIT Certification Exam will also be provided.

The course concludes with a 75-question self-assessment test to assess your practical knowledge of the skills reviewed.

Depending on your prior educational and work experience background, this course may take you longer or shorter than the estimated seven (7.0) hours identified for CE credit. Also note that there are many references throughout the course of where or how to study to better prepare you for the exam, which is not included in the stated seven (7.0) hours.

Remember that you may enter and leave the course as many times as you'd like, but once you submit the 75-question Self-Assessment Test you will no longer have access to the course.
