Congratulations to Mel Peters, RHIT for receiving Honorable Mention from AHIMA for Coding Roundtable Coordinator Recognition for Excellence!

DEFINITION

The Data Quality and Reimbursement Council (DQRC) is a volunteer council that is responsible for advising the OHIMA board of directors on issues that affect the coding community. Meetings are held throughout the year via e-mail, face to face, and conference call.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

To monitor the regulatory environment in addition to other industry initiatives;

To provide education to the coding community by planning full-day coding sessions at OHIMA’s annual meeting and the Fall coding meeting;

To gather input from all local levels of Ohio on issues that impact coding, data quality and reimbursement in order to facilitate communication of the issues nationally to AHIMA and from AHIMA to the local levels.

BENEFITS

Keep pace with changes in the HIM field by interacting with peers in your field for support, ideas and new information.

Active* DQRC members will be eligible to receive the student discounted registration rate for the Fall Coding Sessions.

*To qualify as active and to receive discount, member must participate in over 50% of the DQRC meetings and must have served on the Data Quality & Reimbursement council for at least one full year (from July to July).
