2008-09 Delegate Calendar
The number of delegates for each component state association (CSA) is determined by the total number of voting members as of December 31 of the previous year. Ohio's membership count has always resulted in the maximum allowable delegates by state according to the AHIMA Bylaws which is five. The following are the five delegates representing Ohio for 2008-09:
The following is a calendar of activities for the 2008-09 delegate term which will be updated throughout the year as more information becomes available. Communication will also come directly from AHIMA to you about additional events and/or details. Below are links to two important documents to help you in your role as delegate.

June, 2008 Prepare for New Role as Delegate 1) The State Leader and HOD Community of Practice is the essential communication tool and resource to delegates, http://www.ahima.org/CoP . Visit CoPs weekly, once you take office July 1, 2008.

2. Get notified of messages coming to your Mailbox in the State Leaders/HOD CoP:
    In your Mailbox, click on the Preferences link. Under New Internal Mail Notification, click yes. A message will be sent to your external box alerting of messages or information.

July 1, 2008 Official Term of Office Begins For details about the Delegate Policies and Procedures, go to the State Leader and HOD CoP under 'Community Resources', select 'View All' and locate the section entitled Bylaws, Standing Rules, Policies and Procedures. Again, the State Leader and HOD CoP will be a key tool in getting up-to-date information from the Association.
July, 2008 Regional Assignments Made Delegate Coordinator to assign each delegate a region to discuss the HOD issues at regional meetings or via email blast if no meeting is scheduled.

August, 2008 Meet the 2009 Nominating Committee Candidates Visit the State Leader and HOD CoP under Community Resources 'Nominating Committee Ballot Candidates 2008'
August-September, 2008 Information Sharing with Regions Schedule regional meetings to review the information to be discussed at the House of Delegates. Information will also be shared on the OHIMA website and discussions can take place on the Ohio CoP.

An invitation on where the reception will be held we be sent in early September to all delegates via e-Mail. Please note delegates are automatically welcome to attend the orientation without an invitation.
