Can I pay by check and still access the online course?
No. Effective May 1, 2003 - OHIMA only accepts Visa or Mastercard for online courses.

Is it safe to send my credit card number over the Internet?
Yes, absolutely due to our secure server. Our secure server software encrypts all of your personal information including credit card number, name, and address, so that it cannot be read as the information travels over the Internet. The encryption process takes the characters you enter and converts them into bits of code that are securely transmitted over the Internet.

How do I know my information is secure?
Depending on which browser you use, you will either see a little yellow lock in the bottom right corner of your screen (Internet Explorer), or you will see the lock close on the top tool bar on your screen (Netscape Navigator).

After inputting my credit card information, why do I get a message about the security certificate asking if I'd like to proceed?
The area for entering private credit card information is accessed off of the secure100.telusys.net server, which is a secure server. OHIMA uses this server as part of our agreement with Telusys, thus saving the annual fee to obtain our own digital certificate. Therefore, a message may appear stating that "the name on the security certificate does not match the name of the site." As explained, it is because we are using the Telusys secure server instead of our own.
