How many continuing education credits can I get from attending the meeting? Both the Coding and Legal sessions are approved for 6.0 CEUs by the American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA). Both sessions are also approved by the American Academy of Professional Coders (AAPC) for 6.0 CEUs each.
I am interested in attending sessions from both the Coding and Legal sessions. Can I switch between the two? No, although both are held at the same facility they are separate seminars. To ensure for adequate seating for each of these sessions, switching between the two is not permitted.
How can I gain access to the online speaker handouts? Speaker presentations will be available on OHIMA's website prior to the seminar. Access instructions will be emailed to your registered email address on Monday, 10/31.
Is there a way that I can have printed handouts at the meeting so that I can take notes? You will be provided with access to the speaker presentations prior to the seminar so you can print and bring them with you to the session.
How far in advance do I need to register for the meeting? To receive the reduced Early Bird rates: If paying by credit card, your registration & payment must be submitted by Friday, October 28, 2011. If paying by check, registration and payment must be mailed (postmarked) by Wednesday, October 26. Payment must accompany registration to be processed.
After October 28, all fees will increase by $15 and only credit card payments will be accepted through Wednesday, November 2. If you register onsite, an additional $15 applies and only checks or cash are accepted.
Do you accept debit cards, Discover or American Express? No, we accept only Visa or MasterCard credit cards. The charge on your statement will appear as "TELUSYS."
I'd like to register several of my employees from my facility. Can I do this in one transaction? The online registration system is setup to accept individual transactions. However, if you have five or more registrations that you'd like to pay by credit card in a single transaction, please contact us.
If you choose the 'pay by check' option when you register online, you can submit one check for all individuals from your facility. Just be sure to reference names of registrants with your check payment.
Is lunch provided? Yes, a delicious hot buffet luncheon is included in your registration fee for all attendees. Continental breakfast is included.
What should I wear? Casual business wear is appropriate and a light jacket or sweater is recommended in the event the meeting rooms become too cool.
How can I sponsor an event and how much does it cost? Tabletop exhibit space is available for $500 (for one session) or $750 (for both sessions). Sponsorship includes complimentary registration & lunch for one representative (two if sponsoring both sessions), pre and post-show promotion, dedicated display and presentation times, and registrant listing.
