Strategic Plan
2008-09 Board of Directors

The goals and objectives set forth at the beginning of each association year are the strategies comprising the OHIMA Strategic Plan. Each strategy has a course of action or project necessary for carrying out it's goals. The status and progress of projects are reviewed and discussed at each Board meeting.

The following are the key strategic priorities and Directors for each strategy.

CSA Membership

STRATEGY MANAGER: Paula Warren

Build Value in CSA Membership (securing ballot, board and regional association support, mentoring programs)

Professional Development

STRATEGY MANAGERS: Jan Kelly & Anne Casto

Education: Provide relevant professional development (Annual Meeting, CE seminars)
Support students and academic programs (review sessions)
Advance e-HIM Practice and Education of e-HIM


HIM Expeditions (DQRC & Special Interest)

STRATEGY MANAGER: Sandy Seabold

Provide HIM Leadership on state issues through advocacy and collaboration (HIMSS Alliance)
Advance e-HIM Practice and Education of e-HIM (through DQRC & Special Interest committees)

Past President Director

STRATEGY MANAGER: Bonnie Hemp

Coordinates Activities of Delegates
Provide support to Program Directors

Financial

STRATEGY MANAGER: Carla Nadeja

Mostly procedural (project leader not needed).

Legislative & e-HIM

STRATEGY MANAGER: Angela Hammond

Leadership/Advocacy: Provide HIM Leadership on state issues through advocacy and collaboration

Professional Recognition

STRATEGY MANAGER: Valerie Tabor
