Executive Board Meeting

February, 17 2005

Executive Board Members: Pam Greenstone, President-Elect, Carla Nadeja- President, Susan Schehr-Past President, June Bronnert-Treasurer, Carrie Newport-Secretary, and Gail Smith, University of Cincinnati liaison met to discuss the upcoming educational meetings. The following topics were discussed:

• June updated us on our financial information.
• Our fee for our website on OHIMA has been paid and renewed.
• Discussed details of the Spring Workshop.
• It will be held at Drake Center this year.
• There will be no at-the-door registration because we have to notify Drake how many people will attending thus how much food to prepare. We want to make sure that we do not exceed the room occupancy limit and ensure that all attendees have a seat.
• The cost for the Spring Workshop will be $40 for active/retired members and $20 for students.
• Discussed the possibility of having our election online this year. Carrie will ask Amy Dotts if this is possible and what the cost would be.
• We are planning a reorganization meeting in May with the newly elected officers to discuss the future direction of GCHIMA.
• Pam updated us on our lineup of speakers for the Spring Workshop.
• Discussed coverage for the registration desk at the annual OHIMA conference.
• Three students have volunteered to help with coverage, and we will pay their registration fee for one day.
• Monday: Carla Nadeja, Gail Smith, and Martha Fowler
• Tuesday: Terri and Mel
• Wednesday: June Bronnert and Pam Greenstone
