Greater Cincinnati Health Information Management
Association
Executive Board Meeting
January 6 & 15,
2004
Executive Board Members: Ron Keith-Past President, Susan Schehr-
President, Carla Nadeja- President Elect, Carrie Newport-Secretary, Roxanne
Malone-Treasurer, Candiss Grannis- Director, Networking, and Gail Smith-
Liason, CST&CC (present 1-15-4) met to discuss the upcoming educational
meetings. The following topics were
discussed:
- Margie Nimeskern withdrew her resignation and is again on the
DQRC Council.
- Discussed including the annual dues and price of the Spring
Workshop.
- Roxanne will calculate the price per person per meeting before
we determine an annual inclusive dues amount.
- It was decided that
guest speakers at the meetings will be given $25 gift certificates as a
gesture of appreciation.
- Because sponsors are difficult to find we will only get
sponsors for the Spring Workshop—no more general meetings.
- We continue to serve snack foods at the general meetings.
- Revisited Ron’s idea of our own COP community. We decided not
to create our own GCHIMA page on COP because not everyone is an AHIMA
member. We continue our OHIMA website.
- Susan proposed we post the local hospital names and medical
record departments phone numbers on the GCHIMA website. It was decided not
do post this information after all.
- Susan will have one of her staff members get the hospital fax
and phone numbers for our reference.
- We need a theme for the Spring Workshop. Ron suggested “Food,
Fun, and Friends.”
- The location of the Spring Workshop will be at Cincinnati
State.
- The topic for the student scholarships is on the CST&CC
website.
- We will accept nominations for President-Elect and Treasurer
beginning
January 15,2003.
Ron Keith is the contact person for nominations.
