Executive Board Meeting

November 20, 2003

Executive Board Members: Ron Keith-Past President, Carla Nadeja- Vice-President, Carrie Newport-Secretary, and Stephanie Duggins, Student Liaison met to discuss the upcoming educational meetings. The following topics were discussed:

• Ron suggest we start a new community in AHIMA’s COP instead of having it on OHIMA’s website.
• The 1^st year student’s AHIMA dues will be budgeted automatically based on the association’s current financial situation.
• The student scholarship essay topic should be different—will be decided in January.
• Carrie will to update our web page to say that the Spring Workshop is at Cincinnati State after Carla tells her to.
• We will consider sending a survey out in January to determine if we should include the fee of the Spring Workshop in the annual dues. Will vote to approve.
• Margie Nimeskern resigned her position on the DQRC council. She nominates Pam Berry to replace her.
• We need to decide if we want to add more board positions like other OH Regional Boards.
• Carla proposed we have different board meeting times.
• Carla proposed we give our speakers a gift certificate as an appreciative gesture.
• We will schedule a January board meeting before our January GCHIMA meeting.
