Board  Meeting

September, 15 2005

Executive Board Members: Pam Greenstone, President, Carrie Newport-Secretary, Gail Smith, University of Cincinnati liaison, Sherri Mallett, Cincinnati State liaison, and Theresa Hooker and Glenda Denson- co-President-Elects met.  The following topics were discussed:

• Theresa would like random names of past members to take a sampling and find reasons why members no longer attend meetings and what we can do to bring them back.
• Carrie will mail notices out to hospital health information departments to help boost attendance.
• Pam will talk to Amy Dotts to find out OHIMA’s policy on sharing job openings and vendors wanting the association to disseminate information for them.
• Carrie will find out if Amy Dotts can provide a list of members’ names in our region to help boost membership.
• Glenda and Theresa discussed upcoming speaker topics.
• Pam gave an update on OHIMA/AHIMA news.
• The scholarship essay topic for the year will be “What are you doing to achieve your goals toward your career path in the next five to ten years?”
• Meeting adjourned.
