Executive Board Meeting

May 20, 2004

Executive Board Members: Susan Schehr – President, Carla Nadeja- Vice-President, Carrie Newport-Secretary, Candy Grannis – Director, Networking, and Gail Smith – liaison of Cincinnati State met to discuss the upcoming educational meetings. The following topics were discussed:

• Susan will remind the members to vote online for the AHIMA open positions.
• Susan will also remind members to update their profiles for OHIMA on the website.
• Candy will be presented as our Delegate for OHIMA, and we should make her aware of issues we would like her to present.
• Carrie will send an e-mail blast with our welcome letter for the 2004-2005 year.
• Carrie will ask Amy Dotts if non-members who pay for CE credits are included on the e-mail blast.
• No Cincinnati State students applied for our scholarship. In this case, should we devote the money instead to members requesting additional training and education? I.E. June Bronnert could attend an education training session paid by GCHIMA. Should GCHIMA provide a scholarship for members wanting to go back to school? This will be discussed further at upcoming board meetings.
• The summer transition meeting will be held June 22, 2004 at 5:00 at Parker’s Grill in Blue Ash.
