Title: Take Ownership of Your Career
Description: Have you have had someone tell you to "own your career" but walked away wondering what they meant? Or maybe you feel like your career is happening TO you instead of FOR you? In this course, we will explore several key mindsets that can help you feel empowered to be in taking control of your career journey.
Learning Objectives:
- Understand that careers are multi-dimensional and that setting specific career goals are a valuable part of taking ownership of one's career.
- Describe how being self-aware (knowing one's values, strengths, skills, etc.) is a foundational first step in developing one's career goals and aspirations.
- Practice building on self-confidence through how we introduce ourselves to others.
- Illustrate how networking skills are ultimately about building relationships and understand the value of building these relationships throughout your career rather than at times of crisis.
